The A-dec story began in 1964 with Ken and Joan Austin. He was in charge of building the products. She was in charge of building the company. And together, they had one simple goal: Let's make something we can be proud of.

Today, you'll find A-dec in dental practices, government facilities, and dental schools all around the world.

And we're just getting started.

One of the biggest things that sets A-dec apart is that we are an equipment manufacturer—not just an assembler.

We control every part of the process from sourcing the raw materials to machining the parts we use to attaching every last hinge screw and bolt.

Not to mention hours of rigorous in-house testing.

The other big difference? A-dec has a focus on putting people first, our customers, our employees, and the communities where we live and work.

Caring has been part of our culture from the start, whether it's supporting local schools here at home, or donating dental equipment to outreach programs in the US and overseas.

From the beginning, A-dec set out to make a difference in the lives of dental professionals and their patients.
