Helping practices thrive

Great dentistry depends on more than just the equipment. It depends on the people behind it. When you choose A‑dec, you’re choosing a partner with over half a century of experience serving dental professionals.

A‑dec is committed to helping every practice thrive. And just like our equipment, that’s something you can depend on.

History & culture

A‑dec was started with this basic principle: If we take care of our people, our people will take care of our customers, and our customers will take care of our business.

A unique vision

Ken and Joan Austin founded A‑dec with a vision to improve the lives of dentists, and their patients, by making the highest quality dental equipment. Two generations later, that’s still true.

Even as technology advances and practices evolve, A‑dec remains dedicated to being the most trusted dental solutions company, focused on practice success and patient experience.

The A‑dec Way

A‑dec is guided by 15 core values we call The A‑dec Way. Developed by our founders early in the company’s history, they’re more than just mottoes. They’re operating instructions that inform every action we take, from sourcing raw materials to answering a service call on a 25-year-old delivery system.

Community impact

Philanthropy is just part of our DNA. Giving back and getting involved in the community—these are pieces of being a good steward.

Wider access to dental care

Dentistry has the power to change lives and strengthen communities. A‑dec supports access to care around the world through equipment donations, volunteer efforts, and partnerships with organizations delivering dental care where it’s needed most:

  • Inspired by Rotary outreach, A‑dec created portable dental equipment to serve remote areas with limited access to care, reaching tens of thousands of people who might not otherwise receive treatment.
  • An ongoing partnership with Medical Teams International and Mercy Ships supports mobile dental clinics and community health programs with outreach programs in the both U.S. and overseas.
  • Across the company, A‑dec employees have partnered with customers to donate dental equipment to underserved regions around the world.

Serving local communities

Giving back and helping others in the communities we call home is a long tradition at A‑dec. Our employees raise thousands of dollars and donate hundreds of volunteer hours each year for local causes—from filling the shelves of neighborhood food pantries, to helping kids learn to read, to planting new trees in greenspaces.

Being a good citizen and caring neighbor is not a corporate-directed initiative. It’s actually the seventh principle of The A‑dec Way, and a practice our employees enthusiastically embrace.

The A‑dec difference

What sets A‑dec apart is a commitment to doing things the right way: quality without compromise, and support that lasts as long as our products.

It's all in the details

A‑dec engineers have a saying: It’s not any one thing; it’s every little thing. In other words, design matters. Details matter. Doing a job right matters. It’s all the little things, seen and unseen, that come together to make A‑dec a better experience for the doctors who choose our equipment.
