Video transcript

My name is Paige Volentine. I'm a general dentist in Ruston, Louisiana, and I'm the owner of Trenton Dental Center. I went out on my own in 2008 and I rented a little house that we had converted into a dental office. It was only three operatories and we just outgrew. We had no room to put anybody else. I feel like I plateaued in production. I feel like I give my patients the best work that I can do. And I wanna do it in an environment that represents my skills as a clinician. I worked on different equipment and you could see an obvious difference between the A-dec equipment and the other equipment that I worked on. So, it's quality equipment that will last, you know, for most of your career. Now, I knew I was gonna go with the A-dec chairs and handpieces and light. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the cabinets.

So right before it came time to make the final decisions, my sales rep came and said, A-dec has just come out with a new cabinet line, gotta check it out. And that's exactly the look that I was going for. It was the perfect blend between aesthetics and function. I want patients to walk in and feel like they're coming into a friendly environment. We really nailed it with the look and the vibe of the office. My rep told me whenever I started to expect about a 20% increase in production. So I thought, wow, if I can do that, that would be great. This year, we've done about a 50%to 55% increase in production in new patients. It's been way beyond any expectation I had. And it's such a huge investment. You're gonna be unsure about certain choices. I had the best architect, the best designers, the best dental sales reps to overcome those uncertainties.

You've gotta have a good team behind you. I don't crunch my numbers every single day. I listen more to what my patients are saying. Did they have a good experience? Did they like what they see? Did I do my best in treating them? Because at the end of the day, if your patient's happy, your numbers are gonna come in. I had such a good experience. It was so much fun for me to be able to build this office. And I would do it again tomorrow in a heartbeat. Make that leap. It's a huge jump, but if you're prepared, you have the numbers. You have a great team behind you. Your investment will pay off.
