The benefits of the integrated implant system—there's really two ways to look at it. One is 100% clinically how seamless it is to perform implant with an integrated unit. You're not reaching out of the field to grab the handpiece, reach over to a different motor. Less clutter, not as tight. So, you can maintain wonderful concentration as you're working, to help with your outcomes—that's one.
Number two, real estate in operatories is at a premium. Those ops will fill up really, really fast. And, not having to have extra counter space for my implant motor, is a big deal. My advice is: plan for the future. Because, if you are not considering how an implant workflow at the present will work into your current setup, you're setting yourself up for a lot of headache. Where if you already have a setup that's modular enough to where implants can be added to it, your life is going to be much easier when you make that choice and make that transition into implants.
And you'll be able to perform a better result. You'll have a shorter learning curve in getting implants integrated, and you'll have less clutter, which will be much easier to get that team buy-in, which is always the first step when you bring in new procedures into your office.
