A-dec First Impressions | DeAngelis Family Dentistry Customer Story

I'm originally from Caracas, Venezuela. When I went to school, I graduated there, and then I went to school in Los Angeles, at the University of Southern California (USC). I fell in love with California. It's hard to leave California once you're here. It was great to have that experience of being a foreign dentist, getting retrained in the United States because I got to see the two sides of the coin.

The reason why I wanted to become a dentist is because I was fortunate to be born in a family of a lot of dentists. And I wanted a career that combines medicine, personal relationships like psychology. Dentistry has a little bit of art. I feel like dentistry pulls from every single string. So it's a pretty complete career. It's pretty comprehensive. After working for different places. I decided to open my own office from scratch. I wanted things done in my way. <laugh> I waited a long time to do this, and I told my husband, who works in dentistry as well, we're going to do this only once. And we are going to do it right. From the moment that we answer the phone, our patients are important to us. Our approach is just to be that place where they feel safe, where they feel taken care of, where they trust what we're offering. And they always wanna come back.

When it comes to my practice, having the best equipment and the best materials is crucial for me. For equipment, it was no question, it was A-dec. I went to Oregon, I got to see the amazing display. And I was like, that's for me. <laugh> when I think about equipment, I think about ergonomics, engineering, service, quality and A-dec all those aspects. They put a lot of thought in what they do. So that's why it wasn't even a question for me when it came to build my office. Like I say, I'm only doing this once in my life, <laugh> so I wanted the best. I love to feel that my work is something that I enjoy so much, that it's not work. Thanks to A-dec, I can enjoy my work and what I do very much.
