When you are a patient at AUSCA, you will be a part of a family. We've gone through a lot of challenges building this clinic, but at the end of the day, the one thing that we've been able to rely on has been our A-dec equipment.
My husband and I both met in Australia in the program for dentistry, and after graduation, when we came back to Canada, we created AUSCA from the amalgamation of Australia and Canada.
We have very similar treatment modalities because we trained together. So it's a, a really good synergy because at the end of the day it means that we get the best patient outcomes that we can hope to achieve. What A-dec offers is, in my opinion, pretty unmatched and unrivaled in the dental industry. We were very fortunate to be able to go down and tour the facilities and it really seems like A-dec doesn't cut any corners. What was really awesome was that it really seems like the people that are on the floor building the equipment, it seems like they love what they do.
People expect there to be a certain level of attention to detail. Today I feel like a lot of companies actually lack that—that check and balance, and I feel like that's what I learned is that no, what manufacturing is and should be is actually being carried out at A-dec, and that that gives you a lot of confidence.
I know that when I go around to other clinics and even feel how things feel in my hand, it just feels different. And same thing when patients come into this clinic. I want them to feel the whole experience, just like I felt the whole experience at A-dec.
Modernization of dental practice is huge. In order to stay ahead of the curve and keep up, you need to have technology. So we heavily invested in the latest and greatest. It's paid off. I mean, it pays off in your workflow and it's just pleasant, I think for patients to see your investment because they come in and they invest in you.
We want to be at the cutting edge and I can say that using the 500 Series Pro chair has been like nothing I've ever used before. There's been multiple days where I come in, I sit down, I pick up a handpiece, and it actually behaves better than it did the day before. It's been a really long process, but A-dec has been the best decision that we've made and we are really excited to, to see what is next.
