This Privacy Notice (the "Notice") describes how A-dec. Inc., including its global affiliates ("A-dec," "we" or "us") collects, stores, uses, processes, and discloses personal information, including when you (1) visit any of our websites, (2) use our applications, (3) engage with us online or offline, including on social media platforms and at industry events, or (4) apply for a job at A-dec. This Notice addresses specific disclosure requirements from various privacy laws and also serves as our 'notice at collection.'

Personal Information We Collect and Process
We collect and process personal information several ways as follows:
- We collect information directly from you, such as when you submitting an online request, register for an account, agree to be featured in a testimonial or case study, or when you otherwise interact with us, online and offline (via social media, web forms, email, and yes, even postal mail).
- We also collect information from you automatically using Cookies and Similar Technology, such as when you visit our website, use our applications, or engage with our promotional emails.
- We collect personal information from third parties. For example, we may receive information about you from other sources, including third party contractors, vendors, dealers, data brokers, and public sources.
- Finally, we may also create personal information from time to time. For example, we may infer the products, services, or promotions that may interest you based on our prior interactions.

- Digital Credentials, such as your username and password. Some areas of our website are restricted and may only be accessed by creating an account.
- Demographic information, such as market area (e.g., Portland Metropolitan Area), race, or gender. We collect a variety of demographic data points to understand the dental profession, identify trends, and meet our obligations as an employer.
- Professional and employment-related information, such as your current employer and job title.
- Education information, such as information about your academic qualifications and training.
- Commercial information, including information about your prior purchases from us or information about your dental practice or business.
- Content, such as reviews or surveys you complete or feedback you provide.
- Financial account information, such as banking or payment card information provided for billing purposes.
- Your preferences, interests, and affiliations, such as your contact preferences, your alumni networks, professional organizations you belong to, or the products or events that may interest you.
- Communications, such as the content of email or messages you send us, including through social media platforms.
- Audio, visual, or similar information, including video or photographs you provide when you request support, or security video footage we may collect at our facilities.
- Device information, including information about the type of device you use to access our website or use our apps, including the device's operating system and browser and information about your network connection.
- Internet activity and usage information, such as the clicks you make on our website, the features you use on our apps, and other information we automatically collect about our digital interactions using Cookies and Similar Technology which often assign a unique identifier to your device. Such information may include:
- Date and time of your visit to our websites and duration of your visit,
- Date and time of your use of our app and the duration of that use,
- Your traffic and use pattern, clickstreams, and searches on our website,
- Input you provide to the AI assistant on our website, such as questions you ask,
- The website from which you linked to our website, and
- Other similar information about your use of our websites, applications, or other services.

We process de-identified personal information. Data in this state cannot be used to infer information about, or otherwise be linked to, a particular individual. In those instances, and unless allowed under applicable law, we will maintain such information in a de-identified state and will not try to re-identify the individual.
Some of the information we collect may be considered 'sensitive information' under various privacy laws. For example, we may choose to provide information about your race or ethnicity when completing a survey or applying for a job. We may also process account credentials and banking informing, depending on our interactions. We use this information for legitimate purposes as described herein. We do not collect information about individuals who are under 16 years old.

As described above, depending on our interactions, some of the information we collect may qualify as “sensitive” under certain applicable privacy laws. We only collect such sensitive information as necessary to conduct business or for other legitimate purposes. For example, we may collect sensitive categories of demographic information to use in aggregate to understand trends in the dental profession, or we may collect financial account information as needed to complete transactions you request.

- Unsubscribe from Promotional Emails. If you do not wish to receive promotional e-mails from us, including our e-newsletters, you may follow unsubscribe process at the bottom of the promotional e-mail you received or email us at privacy@a-dec.com. Please keep in mind, even if you unsubscribe, you may still receive transactional e-mails from us (e.g., e-mails related to the completion of your registration, correction of your personal information, password reset requests, and any other similar communications essential to your transactions on the Website or use of our products) which may be necessary for us to make the Website available to you or respond to your product enquiries.
- Opt-out of Promotional Text Messages. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message or by contacting us.

When making a privacy rights request, we may ask you to:

DO NOT SEND US SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION, such as a social security number or picture of photo ID, in your initial request to exercise any rights.

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot reasonably verify your identity or authority to make the request and/or confirm the personal information relates to you.
We will provide a response to an access request within the time period required by applicable law. If we cannot substantively respond in a timely manner, we will notify you and provide you with the reason for the delay.
Under certain circumstances we may not be able to fulfill your request, such as where doing so would interfere with our regulatory or legal obligations, where we cannot verify your identity, or if your request involves disproportionate cost or effort; in any event, we will respond to your request within a reasonable time frame and as required by law, and provide you with an explanation. We will deliver our written response by mail or electronically, at your option.
We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.
Retention and Storage
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice and to comply with our legal obligations. When determining the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process your personal information, whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and your requests to delete such information.

We are not responsible for and have not reviewed the privacy practices of such sites or services, or the owners or operators of such sites or services. We shall not be responsible or liable in any way as a result of your use of any other sites or services.
Our websites might enable social sharing features and other third-party tools. The use of such features enables information sharing, including with your friends or connections, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature or third-party tool. Children
Our website is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. If you're a parent or guardian of a child and become aware that your child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete that information.
